Clive Barker's Jericho, a run of the mill, standardized, and templated shoot-em up game. Each level you load gives up a fresh set of ammunition, mysteriously.
Are you ready to pulverize monster, zombies, and supernatural things that pop from down, up, left, right, and within? If you have the guts for it, give Jericho a shot.
Every step you make throws you in a cage fighting these supernatural unknown things. Fourtunately, you come in a squad of soldiers. Even with all the firepower at your arsenal, the sheer number of enemies will quickly overwhelm you.
To make things interesting, after certain events, you have the ability to transfer and control different characters as fast as you can. Of course, you need to be quick, as the enemy is not going to have lunch while you figure out who you are controlling. That is right, it can get quite confusing learning how to control other characters initially.
However, to survive, you need to learn each character's special ability. Especially, the medic, as you will need to heal or revive fallen allies quickly.
The game is not too much of a shooter, it has a bit of tatical feel to it. Since you need to position your characters and strategize on using each ability properly to survive. For example, while facing fast enemies, put your katana wielding soldier out in front; on the other hand, while facing brutes, stick to the behemoth wielding chaingun soldier.
The graphics is not too impressive, even though the game is fairly new. I guess the game tries to sell on gameplay alone.
As usual with modern games, the game lacks music. You will not hear a lot of noise either. The game is pretty quiet, maybe it is to build the spooky atmosphere.
There is not much to the game other than the above. If you were expecting a first person shooter, you might be disappointed.
