Article 81 - Medal of Honor Review

Medal of Honor, a copy of Call of Duty Modern Warfare.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare evolutionized modern warfare first person shooter games. Medal of Honor tries to stick its foot into the pie too. Unfourtunately, it does not excel nor does it distinguish itself.

A lot of the aspects in the game feels very similar to Call of Duty, such as enemy spawning after passing through checkpoints. The plot is linear, your allies that drive the story. Often, you are in combat with two or three combat soldiers, sidekicks similar to Call of Duty.

Only your allies can do this, too bad,

The game has music, a little. Sound effects from the game is average almost a poor rip off of Call of Duty.

The visual is extremely bad, jaggies all over the place. It feels if the game was designed for console and later ported to the PC market. This often happens with many recent games; however, games forgo the anti-aliasing if done poorly, as in this case.

This game needs anti-aliasing working.

Who knew fire was as thin as paper.

The smoke effect is clearly cross cut.

Much of the atmosphere is grey. Naturally, this fits well with the mood but the stiff figured character motion makes the game a chore to play, comparable to watching an amateur produced animation.

Bright but bland outdoors.

If given a choice, it's preferred to play Call of Duty Modern Warfare over this game.
