Article 95 - Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 2 Review

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is the sequel to the original Modern Warfare game. It still impressive and looks amazing.

The reader is encouraged to read the article Article 11 - Call of Duty Modern Warfare Review to learn about the previous game.

The game is beautiful. Immediately, the player will notice the vastly improved graphics from the predecessor. The terrain features more dynamic lightning effects. In other words, it is brighter. It will be difficult to contrast the difference of a game and an image of the real world.

Improved graphics.

This look amazing, all this dirt.

One element of the game that made it inferior and perhaps caused some annoyance is the inability to toggle the shooting modes of a weapon. Essentially, the game is made for trigger happy shooters. Every weapon, except pistols, and special weapons are fully automatic. That includes most rifles. It would be nice to be able to toggle single fire mode or burst mode on the M4.

The sound effects of the game is great but there is not much of an improvement from the original Modern Warfare. Sound effects is difficult to improve but it would be better if bullets sound even more authentic. We are still presented with a great sense of fear, since most soldiers are always shouting.

In for some serious action.

Sometimes it is fun to intentionally die in the game because the game encourages players to try again by displaying a quote, usually along the lines of bravery or courage. This idea is intelligent, it shows that developers are capable of developing such a realistic game by incorporating real world as well.

Maybe some hoops before heading out?

How about stopping at a burger joint?

Words can only convince but the game will mesmerize. If you enjoyed the Call of Duty series, give this game a try. If you are new to the series, still give it a try.

Get ready for some rumble.
